I feel like my heart at the moment and for a little while has been burning slightly for understanding. I know there has been a usual method of teaching the body of christ and learning, a preacher in front an audience listening. I know that me as an audience member feels and thinks different things and receives or doesn't receive... different then others. I personally enjoy knowing and seeing glimpses of others experiences even if they don't completely understand it themselves.
Like the people in the movies, we each have our own unique experiences that no one else has had. I have a few testimonies that I haven't ever heard anyone else having something like that and I have some that are very very similar to others (depending on how I look at it).
I guess with this post... I hope to stir us into seeking God more as well as asking Him how to better learn from each other. I feel like I'd really enjoy just tons of hearing peoples testimonies of things God did and their thought patters behind it.
I'm not sure if this is how the Holy Spirit wants me or others to know about him or come to experience him more. After all He is the one that leads us into all truth, I should follow him.
I think there are different wisdoms to look at when thinking about this and feel free to share your thoughts and insights and revelations and testimonies of how others testimonies have helped you.
Paul said teachers will be judged more harshly. (I think him?)
Another said... You have many teachers but not many fathers.
We know there are false teachers and each person is living out of different revelations and places of their heart which may effect how they tell the stories and how they are received by different people.
There's a verse that is quoted from the old testament which I believe is in the book of Hebrews that says... And each one will not have to go to their neighbor and say know the lord. For they will all know me.
So to me this is saying (for today) God desires all to know him and each of us can know him and can freely share because others know him, but they don't have to share.
The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy (Revelations)
Paul would often share his testimony to help others come to believe and know Jesus. They would share all God had done in and trough then in bringing others to salvation to the leaders. But also... Paul at one point was worried that he was believing wrong 'running the race in vain.' and checked with the 'elders' 'leaders' first apostle guys to see if what he was thinking and doing lined up with truth.
In Hebrews the writer is sharing that... at this point they should all (ALL) be able to teach at this point in time.... But... the writer didn't think they were ready ... you need milk not solid food... I must remind you of the first oracles of God. Baptism, laying on of hands, repentance from acts that lead to death and faith in God, the reserection of the dead, and eternal judgment (Hebrews 6:1-3)
To me at this point our stories are all an extension of Jesus's story. For we would not have this story without him.
May many pineapples come from this (fruit of the Holy Spirit). Amen
